ARRON MONK has begun to resurrect his career after a couple of years away from the professional circuit.

Monk burst on the scene as a youngster when he won the New Kids on the Oche TV show and went on to be crowned as PDC Under-21 World Champion in 2011, when he defeated Michael Van Gerwen in the final at London’s Alexandra Palace.

He went on to win six PDC Youth Tour events in 2012.

The Hampshire ace has qualified for the World Championship on three occasions to date and has also appeared in the Grand Slam of Darts and UK Open finals.

After losing his tour card at the end of 2015, Monk battled back and won through Qualifying School in 2018 to return to the professional circuit. Monk believes his time away helped him mature and that he will be a stronger player on the ProTour as a result of the hard work he has put in to his game.
